This past weekend it was time for Round 5 of the Middle Swedish Cup championship at the Minicars track in Enkoping. In total it was about 45 entries in 3 classes, Mod, 17.5T Stock and 1/12th. The track is permament so the traction is semi high and mixed with some tight technical parts and some more high speed parts.
After 2 rounds of practice the qualies got under way. And after the 3 rounds of qualies was done it was XRAY driver Niclas Nilsson with his T4 that took all rounds of qualifiers with me around 1 second behind. Thomas Ek with this T4 in 3rd.
The finals was proving to show alot of action for the spectators with tight fights in all finals.
In the first A1 final Niclas held the lead nicely from start to finish with me trying to get past him all final long. But he held it togheter with only 0.3s seperating us across the line.
In A2 it was replay of the first 2mins of A1 but Niclas got caught with a backmarker and i could sneak by and take the win with half a lap.
And also in A3 it was also a tight fight for the first 3mins but on the 22nd lap we had an race incident. Me getting along side him before the straight but with 2 cars trying to take the same line out on the straight we both collected the wall and with Niclas car broken as a result. I could then cruise to victory and there by take the overall win.
Car felt good overall all day and I started with my last ETS setup which suited the Sorex 28's and conditions pretty good. I went down to the middle position on the front suspension roll center holders, to 2000 oil from 3000 oil in the rear diff and 300 oil instead of 350 oil in the shocks.
